The red rocks of the Seven Bulls and the Broken Heart, a walk through the Valley of Flowers and sunset among the fantastic shapes of Skazka canyon.

A big day on the south shore of Issyk-Kul. In the morning we drive to the Jeti-Oguz gorge: the red rocks of the Seven Bulls and the Broken Heart, and the trail to the Valley of Flowers, where horses graze and yurts stand in summer. Those who wish can climb to a viewpoint. After lunch in a yurt we move on to Skazka canyon. Here wind and water have turned clay into towers, dragons and fortress walls in every shade of red and yellow. We walk along the ridges, take photos and stay for sunset, when the colours are at their brightest. There are short climbs on loose slopes, so you need shoes with a good grip.
