A day and a night at a yurt camp on the south shore: put up a yurt with the hosts, dinner from the kazan, an eagle hunting show and a night under the stars.
The yurt is the heart of Kyrgyz culture, and the easiest way to understand it is to live in one for a day. Our camp stands between Bokonbaevo and the lake: six yurts with beds, warm blankets and a stove. Arrive by lunchtime. In the afternoon the hosts show how a yurt is put together from kerege lattice walls and felt, and teach you to make a shyrdak felt rug. In the evening — an eagle hunting show, dinner from the kazan (beshbarmak or plov), then tea by the fire and stars you never see in the city. In the morning — breakfast with tandoor bread and kaymak cream. Toilets and showers are in a separate building on the camp grounds.
